For virtual racing, you may want to check out 'tourdegiro.com' and 'http://blog.rollerracing.ca/' - both attempting to do exactly what you say, but with a bit of polish and graphics. Very cool! I'm excited to see where these projects go!

With more people getting power or virtual power I think that on-line competition will be a great opportunity to keep training interesting.
